Abstract[English]
The invention provides a method for producing coated silicone hydrogel contact lenses in a cost-effective manner. The method comprises treating the molding surfaces of polypropylene lens molds (or other hydrophobic plastic molds) with a vacuum UV or a corona plasma to increase the surface energies of the molding surfaces of the lens molds, cast-molding a silicone hydrogel lens formulation containing a relatively small amount of at least one carboxyl-containing vinylic monomer in the treated lens molds, and heating resultant cast-molded silicone hydrogel contact lenses in an aqueous coating solution comprising a water-soluble and thermally crosslinkable polymeric material to form a coated silicone hydrogel contact lens comprising a bulk silicone hydrogel material and a hydrogel layer covalently attached onto the bulk silicone hydrogel material.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de production économique de lentilles de contact en hydrogel de silicone revêtues. Le procédé comprend le traitement des surfaces de moulage de moules de lentilles en polypropylène (ou d'autres moules en plastique hydrophobe) avec un UV du vide ou un plasma à effet corona pour augmenter les énergies de surface des surfaces de moulage des moules de lentilles, le moulage par coulée d'une formulation de lentille en hydrogel de silicone contenant une quantité relativement faible d'au moins un monomère vinylique contenant un carboxyle dans les moules de lentilles traités, et le chauffage des lentilles de contact en hydrogel de silicone moulées par coulée ainsi obtenues dans une solution de revêtement aqueuse comprenant un matériau polymère soluble dans l'eau et thermiquement réticulable pour former une lentille de contact en hydrogel de silicone revêtue comprenant un matériau d'hydrogel de silicone brut et une couche d'hydrogel fixée de manière covalente sur le matériau d'hydrogel de silicone brut.
