Abstract[English]
A method of making a wet food formulated for administration to a pet includes incorporating at least one of spinach or tomato into the wet food in an amount effective to enhance palatability of the wet food and/or reduce added sugar in the wet food. The method may include producing the wet food as a chunks-in-gravy composition and may include one or more of the following steps: (i) producing the gravy by a process comprising adding spinach to one or more other ingredients of the gravy; (ii) producing the gravy by a process comprising adding tomato to one or more other ingredients of the gravy, and preferably also incorporating free form cysteine into in the gravy; and (iii) producing the chunks by a process comprising adding both spinach and tomato to one or more other ingredients of the chunks. The method may include producing the wet food as a loaf composition, preferably by incorporating both spinach and tomato into the loaf composition.[French]
Un procédé de production d'un aliment humide formulé à des fins d'administration à un animal de compagnie consiste à incorporer de l'épinard et/ou de la tomate dans l'aliment humide en une quantité efficace pour améliorer la palatabilité de l'aliment humide et/ou réduire la quantité de sucre ajouté dans l'aliment humide. Le procédé peut consister à produire l'aliment humide sous la forme d'une composition de morceaux en sauce et peut comprendre une ou plusieurs des étapes suivantes : (i) la production de la sauce par un procédé consistant à ajouter de l'épinard à un ou plusieurs autres ingrédients de la sauce ; (ii) la production de la sauce par un procédé consistant à ajouter de la tomate à un ou plusieurs autres ingrédients de la sauce, et de préférence également incorporer de la cystéine sous forme libre dans la sauce ; et (iii) la production des morceaux par un procédé consistant à ajouter de l'épinard et de la tomate à un ou plusieurs autres ingrédients des morceaux.
