Abstract[English]
Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. In a boundary region (302) between first and second broadcast stations (304) in which a receiver (300) can pick up signals from both stations, a lower level signaling PLP is used to identify (604/802) frequencies duplicatively carrying the same service and then higher level PLPs are activated (808) for each duplicate to determine a channel quality metric for identifying (812) the best frequency to receive the service on, which is sent from both stations.[French]
L'invention concerne des techniques destinées à étendre et/ou améliorer le protocole de télévision ATSC (Comité des systèmes de télévision avancés) 3.0, par la fourniture robuste des services de diffusion télévisée de nouvelle génération. Dans une région limite (302) entre la première et la seconde station de diffusion (304) dans laquelle un récepteur (300) peut capter les signaux des deux stations, un PLP de signalisation de niveau inférieur est utilisé pour identifier (604/802) des fréquences transportant le même service de manière duplicative, puis des PLP de niveau supérieur sont activés (808) pour chaque duplicata afin de déterminer une métrique de qualité de canal pour identifier (812) la meilleure fréquence sur laquelle recevoir le service, qui est envoyé par les deux stations.
