Abstract[English] Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. In a boundary region (302) between first and second broadcast stations (304) in which a receiver (300) can pick up signals from both stations, a lower level signaling PLP is used to identify (604/802) frequencies duplicatively carrying the same service and then higher level PLPs are activated (808) for each duplicate to determine a channel quality metric for identifying (812) the best frequency to receive the service on, which is sent from both stations.[French] L'invention concerne des techniques destinées à étendre et/ou améliorer le protocole de télévision ATSC (Comité des systèmes de télévision avancés) 3.0, par la fourniture robuste des services de diffusion télévisée de nouvelle génération.
