Abstract[English] A map exploration and a system thereof are disclosed.The method comprises:scanning surrounding area with a LIDAR (10) having a scanning radius A; defining the area which is reachable by the LIDAR (10) as a first layer;defining the circular area centred at the LIDAR (10) with radius B as a second layer where B is smaller than A; and moving the LIDAR (10) to different locations until the second layer overwrites the first layer; wherein a map is drawn while moving the LIDAR (10).[French] Sont divulgués une exploration de carte et un système associé. Le procédé consiste : à balayer une zone environnante à l'aide d'un LIDAR (10) présentant un rayon de balayage A; à définir la zone pouvant être atteinte par le LIDAR (10) en tant que première couche; à définir la zone circulaire centrée au niveau du LIDAR (10) présentant un rayon B en tant que seconde couche, B étant inférieur à A; et à déplacer le LIDAR (10) à différents emplacements jusqu'à ce que la seconde couche déborde sur la première couche; une carte étant dessinée pendant le déplacement du LIDAR (10).
