The disclosed technology relates to systems for monitoring a health status of a mother and/or infant by monitoring heat flux patterns of the mother/infant dyad, and methods of detecting health anomalies in the mother and/or infant using heat flux patterns of the mother/infant dyad. The disclosed technology also relates to methods of monitoring thermoregulation transitions comprising obtaining a plurality of thermal images of a subject with a thermal imaging device.[French]
