Abstract[English]
Bilateral retractable band/cord device with handles on both ends. Handle elements attach to housing members which internally consist of spring biased retractable spool axels that protract to the outside or retract inwardly a shared band/cord element around spool/spindle elements. Locking mechanisms on the outside of housing members lock the shared band/cord element at any length between handle elements. When the band/cord element is elastic, the device is a compact, self-contained, bilateral, hand-held, multidimensional exercise tool that is adjustable to variable lengths while maintaining the handle elements for comfort, stability, and portability. The ability to change materials, sizes, shapes, and designs of the elements allows for a plethora of uses, e.g. an exercise device, a carry-assist device, a belt, etc. The device solves the limitations of existing art by maintaining the handle function for anchoring and comfort on both ends even when the length of the band/cord changes.[French]
L'invention concerne un dispositif à bande/cordelette rétractable bilatéral doté de poignées sur les deux extrémités. Des éléments de poignée se fixent à des éléments de boîtier qui sont constitués intérieurement par des axes de bobine rétractables sollicités par ressort qui se prolongent vers l'extérieur ou se rétractent vers l'intérieur d'un élément bande/cordelette partagé autour d'éléments bobine/broche. Des mécanismes de verrouillage sur l'extérieur des éléments de boîtier verrouillent l'élément de bande/cordelette partagé à n'importe quelle longueur entre des éléments de poignée. Lorsque l'élément bande/cordelette est élastique, le dispositif est un outil d'exercice multidimensionnel compact, autonome, bilatéral, tenu à la main qui peut être réglé selon des longueurs variables tout en conservant les éléments de poignée afin d'assurer un confort, une stabilité et une portabilité. La possibilité de changer de matériaux, de taille, de forme et de conception des éléments permet une grande diversité d'utilisation, par exemple, pour un dispositif d'exercice, un dispositif d'aide au transport, une ceinture, etc. Le dispositif permet de résoudre les limitations de l'état de la technique en maintenant la fonction de poignée pour l'ancrage et le confort sur les deux extrémités même lorsque la longueur de la bande/cordelette change.
