Abstract[English] Systems, apparatuses and methods for preserving motion in an intervertebral disc. Modular disc implant segments can be constructed from a relatively solid material configured to assume certain characteristics of a compressible solid, such as an elastomer. The material may be configured to include one or more structural voids, such as a leaf spring design, to facilitate the modular disc implant segment's ability to compress, thereby enabling an entire intervertebral disc constructed from multiple modular disc implant segments to compress with the implant recipient's movement.[French] L'invention concerne des systèmes, des appareils et des procédés pour préserver le mouvement dans un disque intervertébral.
