Abstract[English] The invention relates to a self-stabilizing system including a self-stabilizing wheeled vehicle. A motor-powered vehicle has two wheels arranged side-by-side and a vehicle body whose center of gravity is closer to the ground than the centers of rotation of the wheels. Counter torque from the motor, which would otherwise cause the vehicle to tilt forward or backward, is converted into movement of the vehicle body relative to the wheels, thus keeping the vehicle body level during velocity changes. Bias mechanisms may be used to ensure that the vehicle body travels the appropriate distance from the wheels for a given value of acceleration and returns toward neutral when torque is reduced.[French] L'invention concerne un système d'auto-stabilisation comprenant un véhicule à roues à stabilisation automatique.
