Apparatuses including portable ventilators are provided. Some example portable ventilators include a graspable handle, in which the portable ventilator is capable of single-handed operation, during the providing of mechanical ventilation, including grasping of the handle with one or more grasping fingers while operating first one or more first controls using one or more first fingers, and may further include operating one or more second controls using one or more second fingers. Some example portable ventilators include a blower, in which mechanical ventilation can be provided such that all gas flow generated by the blower is delivered to an inhalation limb of a breathing circuit and to the patient.[French]
