Abstract[English]
A method of preparing sterile human placental allografts by providing a human placental tissue from a donor within 24 hours to 72 hours post-childbirth; removing any visible blood, blood clots, and/or blood components from the human placental tissue without scraping or scrubbing the human placental tissue to preserve structural integrity of the human placental tissue; washing the human placental tissue in an isotonic solution while maintaining the structural integrity of the human placental tissue; dehydrating the human placental tissue thereby forming the dehydrated human placental tissue; resizing the dehydrated human placental tissue into dehydrated human placental tissue portions having predetermined sizes; and sterilizing the dehydrated human placental tissue portions of step (e) thereby forming the sterile human placental allograft. Also disclosed is a sterile human placental allograft produced by the method.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'allogreffes placentaires humaines stériles en fournissant un tissu placentaire humain à partir d'un donneur dans les 24 heures à 72 heures après l'accouchement; en éliminant le sang visible, les caillots sanguins visibles et/ou les composants sanguins visibles du tissu placentaire humain sans racler ou frotter le tissu placentaire humain pour préserver l'intégrité structurale du tissu placentaire humain; en lavant le tissu placentaire humain dans une solution isotonique tout en maintenant l'intégrité structurale du tissu placentaire humain; en déshydratant le tissu placentaire humain, formant ainsi le tissu placentaire humain déshydraté; en redimensionnant le tissu placentaire humain déshydraté en parties de tissu placentaire humain déshydraté ayant des tailles prédéterminées; et en stérilisant les parties de tissu placentaire humain déshydraté de l'étape (e), formant ainsi l'allogreffe placentaire humaine stérile.
