The invention relates generally to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and more particularly to the prediction of severity of COVID-19 manifestation in a patient or in an individual at risk of infection by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) based on a level of chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 16 (CXCL16) expression in and/or the rs10490770 genotype of the patient or individual.[French]
L'invention concerne de manière générale la maladie de coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) et plus particulièrement la prédiction de la gravité de la manifestation de COVID-19 chez un patient ou chez un individu présentant un risque d'infection par le coronavirus du syndrome respiratoire aigu sévère 2 (SARS-CoV-2) sur la base d'un niveau d'expression du ligand 16 de chimiokine (motif C-X-C) (CXCL16) et/ou du génotype rs10490770 du patient ou de l'individu.
