Techniques discussed herein can facilitate network slice based cell re-selection. One example aspect is a baseband processor of a user equipment (UE), including one or more processors configured to determine support for slice based cell re-selection (SCR), generate a SCR information element (IE) that indicates capability support for cell re-selection based on network slicing, generate a registration request comprising the SCR IE in response to determining support for SCR, receive a REGISTRATION ACCEPT message comprising a slice radio resource management information (SSRMI) in response to generating the registration request; and generate a REGISTRATION COMPLETE message in response to receiving the SSRMI[French]
