A filing tool 200 for sharpening a chain 100 of a chainsaw includes a first handle assembly 210 disposed at a first end of the filing tool 200, a second handle assembly 220 disposed a fixed distance away from the first handle assembly 210 at a second end of the filing tool 200, a first guide rail 230 operably coupling the first handle assembly 210 to the second handle assembly 220, a second guide rail 240 operably coupling the first handle assembly 210 to the second handle assembly 220, a depth gauge file 250 disposed between the first guide rail 230 and the second guide rail 240, a first cutter file 260 disposed between the first guide rail 230 and the depth gauge file 250, and a second cutter file 270 disposed between the second guide rail 240 and the depth gauge file 250. The filing tool 200 may sharpen cutter links 180 in first and second orientations without moving either of the first or second cutter files (260, 270) relative to the filing tool 200.[French]
