Abstract[English] The present invention relates to the field of rescuing and evacuating persons trapped in a high-rise building or the like that is on fire. This is a device for rescuing and evacuating occupants of the building or the like who are trapped between debris, smoke and fire, which pose an imminent danger to their lives. Consider the following scenario: a given building is on fire; since the power is out, the lifts are out of service or it is advised not to use them and the only remaining means for escaping safely from the building is of course the stairs, and since there are on average 17 steps from one floor to the next, the result can be calculated by multiplying this by the number of floors to travel. In addition, if the following factors are added to this equation: panic, crowding, dense smoke and debris which probably block the corridors, then it is a matter of being restricted to using the stairs, with no guarantee of being able to reach the exit of the building in question. Thus, the present rescue device is used to provide the ideal solution for safely evacuating the building in question, in record time: the rescue device comprises a capsule which can accommodate four persons safely in view of the materials from which it is constructed. Once on-board, and after having fastened their individual safety belts, as soon as the access to this capsule is closed, it will be automatically dropped, without initial speed, to begin travelling through an evacuation tunnel towards the bottom of the building. Just before the end of this tunnel, the capsule enters a slowing-down phase by the effect of Lenz's law, since the capsule is equipped with several powerful neodymium magnets, and the sides at the bottom of the evacuation tunnel and its base are covered with copper, which ensures a soft and easy landing. Next comes the extraction phase: when the capsule comes into contact with the base of the tunnel, the phase of ejecting the capsule from the evacuation tunnel starts via the ejection mechanism, which ensures that the capsule is ejected in order to complete the evacuation cycle, thus allowing its occupants to exit safely and as quickly as possible, to give way to the other capsules that will follow. All this takes place automatically without any intervention of the occupants, who only need to fasten their individual safety belt and close/open the access to the capsule.[French] La présente invention se rapporte au domaine de sauvetage et d'évacuation de personnes enfermés dans un bâtiment de grande hauteur ou analogue pris en feu.
