Abstract[English]
An episcleral implant for the treatment of glaucoma, to be used during trabeculectomy; having a concave base with holes, to be placed over the sclera, and an upper convex fenestrated structure, to be covered with conjunctiva; the base and the upper structure delimit a large inner empty space; made of soft biocompatible material, or alternatively of a shape memory material; to be placed at the superior margin of the scleral flap of the trabeculectomy, aiming to avoid the adhesion of the conjunctiva to the sclera, to maintain the diffusion of aqueous humor under the conjunctiva in large area. Supporting elements are present at the extremities for fixation to the sclera by sutures.[French]
L'invention concerne un implant épiscléral pour le traitement du glaucome, destiné à être utilisé pendant la trabéculectomie; ayant une base concave avec des trous, destinée à être placée sur la sclère, et une structure fenêtrée convexe supérieure, devant être recouverte de la conjonctive; la base et la structure supérieure délimitent un grand espace vide interne; l'implant étant réalisé dans un matériau biocompatible souple, ou en variante dans un matériau à mémoire de forme; à placer au niveau de la marge supérieure du rabat scléral de la trabéculectomie, pour éviter l'adhérence de la conjonctive à la sclère, afin de maintenir la diffusion de l'humeur aqueuse sous la conjonctive dans une large zone. Des éléments de support sont présents aux extrémités pour la fixation à la sclère par des fils sutures.
