, The lighting unit (100) comprises a reflecting unit (102). The lighting unit (100) further comprises a lighting element (106) disposed on a first portion (104A) of a pedestal member (104). The first portion (104A) of the pedestal member (104) is disposed at a predefined position within the reflecting unit (102) and a second portion (104B) of the pedestal member (104) is disposed at a predefined position at a rear side of the reflecting unit (102). The lighting unit (100) further comprises one or more mounting elements (108A, 108B) for fixedly attaching the second portion (104B) of the pedestal member (104) with the reflecting unit (102). Herein, a predefined region encompassing the one or more mounting elements (108A, 108B) and an area surrounding the one or more mounting elements (108A, 108B) is sealed with a sealant material.[French]
