Abstract[English]
Excessive levels of a pollutant can be detected by moving a pollutant sensor so that it traverses a plurality of relative positions with respect to at least one pollution source. The pollutant sensor measures a pollutant level at each of the relative positions. When one of the pollutant-level measurements exceeds a threshold, that measurement is attributed to a particular pollution source based on the spatial relationship between the pollutant sensor and the particular pollution source at the time when the measurement was obtained. Optionally, the attribution of a given measurement to a particular pollution source is also based on the air flow near the pollutant sensor.[French]
Des niveaux excessifs d'un polluant peuvent être détectés par déplacement d'un capteur de polluant de sorte qu'il passe par une pluralité de positions relatives par rapport à au moins une source de pollution. Le capteur de polluant mesure un niveau de polluant à chacune des positions relatives. Lorsque l'une des mesures de niveau de polluant dépasse un seuil, cette mesure est attribuée à une source de pollution particulière sur la base de la relation spatiale entre le capteur de polluant et la source de pollution particulière au moment où la mesure a été obtenue.
