The invention relates to a system for releasably mounting a portable object, comprising a securing device for attaching the system to a belt element; a housing device for enclosing the portable object; a cassette device provided on the housing device; and at least one pair of magnets, a first magnet of the pair of magnets being provided on the cassette device and a second magnet of the pair of magnets being provided on the securing device, wherein when the housing device is resting against the securing device, the holding force of the first magnet of the pair of magnets in relation to the second magnet of the pair of magnets keeps the securing device and the housing device in contact with each other so as to fix the position thereof.[French]
