A medical device is configured to operate to convert acoustic signals to electrical stimulation signals for delivery to a recipient. In response to detecting a safety-related acoustic feature, the medical device is configured to adjust the conversion of acoustic signals to electrical stimulation signals to enhance a saliency of the safety-related acoustic feature.[French]
