Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to receiving (1302) a first request message comprising a first set of parameters. Aspects of the present disclosure may relate to determining (1304), based on the first set of parameters and a corresponding set of parameters stored in an intemet-of-things (lol) device, a mismatch of a sequence number (SQN) or a security key. Aspects of the present disclosure may relate to generating (1306) a synchronization ID based on a locally stored device SQN. Aspects of the present disclosure may relate to transmitting (1308) a response message comprising at least a result parameter based on a default ID of the loT device, and the device SQN.[French]
