Abstract[English]
In one aspect, an apparatus for use in a mass spectrometer is disclosed, which comprises an ion reaction device, which includes an ion dissociation unit (e.g., an ion-electron interaction unit) that can receive a plurality of precursor ions and cause their dissociation to generate a plurality of product ions, and a linear ion trap that can receive the product ions and isolate a target product ion of interest for mass analysis. The linear ion trap is positioned in a magnetic field and includes a set of quadrupole rods formed of a paramagnetic material to substantially shield the space between the quadrupole rods from the magnetic field, thereby reducing and preferably eliminating the interference of the magnetic field with the process of isolating the target product ion of interest.[French]
Selon un aspect, l'invention concerne un appareil destiné à être utilisé dans un spectromètre de masse, comprenant un dispositif de réaction ionique qui comporte une unité de dissociation ionique (par exemple, une unité d'interaction ion-électron) qui peut recevoir une pluralité d'ions précurseurs et provoquer leur dissociation pour générer une pluralité d'ions produits, et un piège à ions linéaire qui peut recevoir les ions produits et isoler un ion produit cible d'intérêt pour une analyse de masse.
