Abstract[English]
Devices, systems, and methods for monitoring of heart failure patient fluid volume with improved accuracy and reduced lag time to identify changes in volume status using one or more of passive, implantable sensors and non-invasive receiving equipment that measure the temporal variation in IVC area as a means to remotely assess and manage heart failure disease status and support self-management optionally employing a new, normalized index of heart failure (HF) congestion. The new normalized HF congestion index further contributes to improved speed and accuracy of heart failure diagnostic and treatment decisions and thus can help to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospitalization occurrences and costs.[French]
L'invention concerne des dispositifs, des systèmes et des procédés de surveillance du volume de fluide d'un patient souffrant d'insuffisance cardiaque avec une précision améliorée et un temps de latence réduit pour identifier des changements d'état de volume à l'aide d'un ou de plusieurs capteurs passifs implantables et d'un équipement de réception non invasif qui mesurent la variation temporelle de la surface de la VCI comme moyen d'évaluer et de gérer à distance l'état d'une maladie d'insuffisance cardiaque et de prendre en charge une auto-gestion utilisant éventuellement un nouvel indice de congestion d'insuffisance cardiaque (IC) normalisé. Le nouvel indice de congestion d'IC normalisé contribue en outre à améliorer une vitesse et une précision de décisions de diagnostic et de traitement d'insuffisance cardiaque et peut ainsi aider à améliorer les résultats du patient et à réduire les occurrences et les coûts d'hospitalisations.
