Abstract[English]
The invention provides an apparatus and method for producing a topical or orally ingestible product from a composition comprising a 5,7-dehydrosterol. The apparatus includes a housing with an operative zone configured to receive and enclose the composition, and an ultraviolet (UV) light arrangement operable to irradiate the composition with one or more UV wavelengths, thereby inducing photochemical conversion into products such as previtamin D, lumisterol, tachysterol, or analogues thereof.[French]
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de production d'un produit topique ou ingérable par voie orale à partir d'une composition comprenant du 5,7-déshydrostérol. L'appareil comprend un boîtier ayant une zone fonctionnelle conçue pour recevoir et renfermer la composition, et un agencement de lumière ultraviolette (UV) utilisable pour irradier la composition avec une ou plusieurs longueurs d'onde UV, induisant ainsi une conversion photochimique en produits tels que la prévitamine D, le lumistérol, le tachystérol, ou des analogues de ceux-ci.
