O, in which M is a metal ion, N is a different metal ion from M, and A is an anion, and z is the number of water molecules associated with the salt. The metal salt may have more than two types of cations. The TCM demonstrates improved thermodynamic properties such as higher power density, higher energy density, and better cyclic stability.[French]
