Abstract[English]
A compatibilized polyamide-poly(arylene ether) composition is the product of melt-blending particular amounts of a virgin polyamide, a second polyamide, a poly(arylene ether), an impact modifier, and a compatibilizing agent. The second polyamide includes an upcycled polyamide or a post-industrial recycled polyamide, preferably a post-industrial mechanically recycled polyamide, and has an amine end group concentration that is less than or equal to an amine end group concentration of the virgin polyamide. The compositions can provide a desirable combination of properties. Methods for the manufacture of the compositions and articles comprising the compositions are also described.[French]
Une composition de polyamide-poly(arylène éther) compatibilisée est le produit du mélange à l'état fondu de quantités particulières d'un polyamide vierge, d'un second polyamide, d'un poly(arylène éther), d'un modifiant choc et d'un agent de compatibilité. Le second polyamide comprend un polyamide surcyclé ou un polyamide recyclé post-industriel, de préférence un polyamide recyclé mécaniquement post-industriel, et présente une concentration en groupes terminaux amines qui est inférieure ou égale à une concentration en groupes terminaux amines du polyamide vierge. Les compositions permettent d’obtenir une combinaison souhaitable de propriétés.
