Abstract[English]
This invention relates to compounds, compositions and methods for treating, reversing or preventing cancer through the modulation of immune responses via Killer-specific Secretory Protein 37 (Ksp37). By enhancing immune recognition, Ksp37 downregulates the checkpoint proteins CD47 and CD24 on abnormal cells, allowing the immune system to effectively identify and eliminate cancerous cells. Additionally, Ksp37 influences cytokine signalling by increasing IL-12 and decreasing IL-2 levels, which supports the activation of natural killer (NK) cells while mitigating chronic inflammation, fostering an immune environment conducive to clearing abnormal cells.[French]
La présente invention concerne des composés, des compositions et des méthodes visant à traiter, enrayer ou prévenir le cancer par modulation des réponses immunitaires par l'intermédiaire de la protéine Ksp37. En améliorant la reconnaissance immunitaire, Ksp37 régule à la baisse les protéines de point de contrôle CD47 et CD24 sur les cellules anormales, ce qui permet au système immunitaire d'identifier et d'éliminer efficacement les cellules cancéreuses. De plus, Ksp37 influe sur la signalisation des cytokines en augmentant les niveaux d'IL-12 et en faisant baisser les niveaux d'IL-2, ce qui contribue à l'activation des cellules tueuses naturelles (NK) tout en atténuant l'inflammation chronique, avec pour effet de favoriser un environnement immunitaire conduisant à l'élimination des cellules anormales.
