Abstract[English]
Systems and methods related to volumetric estimation using a stereo camera are disclosed herein. The stereo camera, with two or more imagers, may belong to a stereo imaging system. The camera may be static. The system may determine a first height map corresponding to a reference surface, a second height map corresponding to a physical object on the reference surface, and a difference map including height differences between the first height map and the second height map. The height maps may be derived from point clouds. Based on the difference map, the system may detect the presence of the physical object. The volume of the physical object may be determined, and the object may be identified based on its volume.[French]
L'invention divulgue des systèmes et des procédés associés à une estimation volumétrique à l'aide d'une caméra stéréo. La caméra stéréo, avec au moins deux imageurs, peut appartenir à un système de formation d'images stéréo. La caméra peut être statique. Le système peut déterminer une première carte de hauteur correspondant à une surface de référence, une seconde carte de hauteur correspondant à un objet physique sur la surface de référence, et une carte de différence comprenant des différences de hauteur entre la première carte de hauteur et la seconde carte de hauteur. Les cartes de hauteur peuvent être dérivées de nuages de points. Sur la base de la carte de différence, le système peut détecter la présence de l'objet physique. Le volume de l'objet physique peut être déterminé, et l'objet peut être identifié sur la base de son volume.
