Abstract[English]
The present teachings provide devices and methods of delivering and deploying an expandable stent to treat intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD) inside a blood vessels. The stent is delivered through a microcatheter with a pusher wire disposed within the microcatheter. During delivery, the pusher wire is coupled to the expandable stent. The stent has a flexible and conformable open-cell profile for conforming to ragged or calcified vessels, angulated vessels or tortuous anatomy. The stent is also configured to form a continuously longitudinal connection extending throughout its entire length for an efficient delivery through a microcatheter.[French]
La présente invention concerne des dispositifs et des méthodes d'administration et de déploiement d'une endoprothèse expansible pour traiter une athérosclérose intracrânienne (ICAD) à l'intérieur d'un vaisseau sanguin. L'endoprothèse est posée par l'intermédiaire d'un microcathéter avec un fil pousseur disposé à l'intérieur du microcathéter. Pendant la pose, le fil pousseur est couplé à l'endoprothèse expansible. L'endoprothèse a un profil à cellules ouvertes flexible et conformable qui lui permet de s'adapter aux vaisseaux irréguliers ou calcifiés, aux vaisseaux anguleux ou à une anatomie tortueuse. L'endoprothèse est également configurée pour former une liaison longitudinale continue s'étendant sur toute sa longueur pour une pose efficace par l'intermédiaire d'un microcathéter.
