Abstract[English]
Presented herein are techniques for providing a low-power implantable medical device that remains dormant until treatment is initiated. Start-up of the low-power implant can be initiated by emitting a signal from an external device. The techniques presented herein can provide on- demand stimulation for tinnitus suppression.[French]
L'invention concerne des techniques pour fournir un dispositif médical implantable à faible puissance qui reste dormant jusqu'à ce qu'un traitement soit initié. L'activation de l'implant de faible puissance peut être initié par l'émission d'un signal provenant d'un dispositif externe.
