Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) receiving (1402) a first protocol message comprising a request for UE capability. Aspects of the present disclosure may relate to transmitting (1404) a second protocol message comprising UE capability information, including positioning capability information of the UE, based at least in part on the request for UE capability. Aspects of the present disclosure may relate to receiving (1406) a third protocol message that indicates one or more of a start of a positioning session or a configuration for positioning associated with the positioning session.[French]
