Abstract[English]
This invention relates to a structural element and more particularly, but not exclusively, to a structural element for defining a high strength, light weight support element and nailer strip. The structural element 1 comprises a body which is made from a first material and its shape resembles a structural channel 2 or a lipped channel which has a retaining formation 4. A complementary shaped inset 5 which is retained within the structural channel 2 by the retaining formations. The inset 5 is made from a material which is softer than the material of which the structural channel 2 is made. A cavity 3 in the inset 5 is found between the inset 5 and an inner wall of the structural channel 2. This cavity 3 specifically forms part of the inset to lessen the amount of material used and consequently reducing the weight of the structural element 1.[French]
La présente invention concerne un élément structural et plus particulièrement, mais pas exclusivement, un élément structural permettant de définir un élément de support de résistance élevée et de poids léger et une bande de clouage. L'élément structural (1) comprend un corps qui est constitué d'un premier matériau et sa forme ressemble à un canal structural (2) ou à un canal à rebord qui présente une formation de retenue (4). Un insert de forme complémentaire (5) est retenu à l'intérieur du canal structural (2) par les formations de retenue. L'insert (5) est réalisé à partir d'un matériau plus souple que le matériau utilisé dans la réalisation du canal structural (2).
