Abstract[English] Compositions, systems, and advanced methods for reducing viability of cancer cells and treating cancer, as well as preventing an increase of volume of a tumor present in a body of a living subject, are disclosed. The systems and methods involve application of an alternating field concurrently with administration of at least one composition that inhibits at least one of immunomodulatory cytokine such as (but not limited to) macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF), MHC class I chain‐related polypeptide A (MICA), and/or MHC class I chain‐related polypeptide B (MICB).[French] Des compositions, des systèmes ainsi que des méthodes avancées permettant de réduire la viabilité de cellules cancéreuses et de traiter le cancer, et de prévenir une augmentation du volume d'une tumeur présente dans le corps d'un sujet vivant, sont divulgués. Les systèmes et les méthodes consistent à appliquer un champ alternatif simultanément à l'administration d'au moins une composition qui inhibe au moins un élément parmi une cytokine immunomodulatrice telle que (mais sans s'y limiter) le facteur inhibiteur de la migration des macrophages (MIF), le polypeptide A lié à une chaîne du CMH de classe I (MICA) et/ou le polypeptide B lié à une chaîne du CMH de classe I (MICB).
