Personal care device, in particular electric hair trimmer, comprising an elongated housing receiving an electric motor and/or an electric power source, a working head attached to said housing, and an illumination unit for illuminating the working head and/or a surrounding working area, wherein the illumination unit comprises a light guide for guiding light from a light source to a light emitting surface, said light guide having a light receiving surface, wherein said light receiving surface is laterally offset and/or inclined relative to said light emitting surface, and in that said housing includes an inner housing and an outer housing surrounding said inner housing, the inner housing forms a sealed container in which said motor and said light source are received, wherein said light guide extends through said inner housing and through said outer housing and is sealed against such inner housing wherein said light guide and said inner housing form an integral plastic molding piece.[French]
