Abstract[English]
A system includes an imager capturing a sequence of images of a ball in flight; and a processor. The processor is configured to perform following operations detect the ball in a first and second image from the sequence of images; implement a dense optical flow (DOF) model to compute a pixel displacement across the first and second images; and compute three-dimensional spin parameters for the ball based on the pixel displacement.[French]
Un système comprend un imageur capturant une séquence d'images d'une balle en vol; et un processeur. Le processeur est conçu pour effectuer les opérations suivantes, détecter la balle dans une première et une seconde image à partir de la séquence d'images; mettre en oeuvre un modèle de flux optique dense (DOF) pour calculer un déplacement de pixels dans les première et seconde images; et calculer des paramètres de rotation tridimensionnels pour la balle sur la base du déplacement de pixels.
