Abstract[English]
Presented herein is a foldable medical device that is configured to be implanted in a tympanic cavity of recipient. More specifically, the medical device has a folded configuration with physical dimensions (physical footprint occupied by the device)/first form factor that enables insertion of the device through an ear canal of the recipient (e.g., through an opening formed at a tympanic membrane of the recipient). After insertion of the device into the tympanic cavity, the medical device is deployed from the folded configuration to an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration, the medical device has physical dimensions (physical footprint occupied by the device)/second form factor that are larger than the physical dimensions in the folded configuration. In certain examples, the medical device is configured to be positioned against a promontory of the recipient's ear adjacent to the tympanic cavity.[French]
La présente divulgation concerne un dispositif médical pliable qui est conçu pour être implanté dans une cavité tympanique du receveur.
