Systems and methods for monitoring the operation of an agricultural harvesting machine, comprising utilising an event based sensor mounted or otherwise associated with the agricultural harvesting machine to determine crop material parameter(s), e.g. length, straightness, etc. of crop material spread by a spreader tool of the machine. Operation of one or more operable components of the agricultural harvesting machine may be controlled in dependence on the determined crop material parameter(s), e.g. to improve material quality.[French]
L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés pour surveiller le fonctionnement d'une machine de récolte agricole, comprenant l'utilisation d'un capteur basé sur un événement monté ou autrement associé à la machine de récolte agricole pour déterminer un ou plusieurs paramètres de matériau de récolte, par exemple la longueur, la droiture, etc. du matériau de récolte étalé par un outil d'étalement de la machine. Le fonctionnement d'un ou de plusieurs composants actionnables de la machine de récolte agricole peut être commandé en fonction du ou des paramètres de matériau de récolte déterminés, par exemple pour améliorer la qualité du matériau.
