Abstract[English]
End-to-end system optimizing grain-aware video encoding and transmission of a video asset is provided. Grain model parameters indicative of aspects of grain that is present in the video asset are determined. Before encoding the video asset, grain reduction of the video asset is performed according to grain reduction parameters indicative of aspects of removal of the grain from the video asset. After the grain reduction, a grain-aware encoding / rate control is used to encode the video asset according to video encoding / rate control parameters. The video asset is streamed and decoded. After the decode, grain synthesis is performed to re-grain the video asset using grain synthesis parameters indicative of properties of the grain to be added to the video asset.[French]
L'invention concerne un système de bout en bout optimisant le codage vidéo sensible au grain et la transmission d'un actif vidéo. Des paramètres de modèle de grain indiquant des aspects de grain qui sont présents dans l'actif vidéo sont déterminés. Avant de coder l'actif vidéo, la réduction de grain de l'actif vidéo est mise en œuvre selon des paramètres de réduction de grain indiquant des aspects de suppression du grain à partir de l'actif vidéo. Après la réduction de grain, une opération de régulation de débit / codage sensible au grain est mise en oeuvre pour coder l'actif vidéo selon des paramètres de régulation de débit / codage vidéo. L'actif vidéo est diffusé en continu et décodé. Après le décodage, une synthèse de grain est mise en œuvre pour regrainer l'actif vidéo au moyen de paramètres de synthèse de grain indiquant des propriétés du grain à ajouter à l'actif vidéo.
