Abstract[English] A method of manufacturing an improved decorated article, comprising: (a) preparing a decorative image layer in digital format comprising: i. preparing a decorative image layer comprising a first image area defining a matrix portion, and at least one second image area, each second image area defining a discrete decorative element, the first image area and each second image area together defining a finite image area; ii. creating a first digital selection layer, and defining a first selected portion corresponding to the first image area of decorative image layer; iii. creating at least one second digital selection layer and defining at least one second selected portion, each second selection portion corresponding to a discrete decorative element in decorative image layer, and together corresponding to the second area of decorative image layer; wherein the first area of the first digital layer and the second area of the second digital layer together correspond to the finite area of the digital decorative image layer; (b) providing a prepared substrate comprising at least a first major face, (c) digitally printing the decorative image layer to at least a portion of the first major face; (d) using first selected portion of first digital selection layer 160 to direct application of a first clear coating composition onto prepared substrate, superimposed on and corresponding to, the first area, and curing the first clear coating to a first gloss level; and (e) using each second portion of the at least one second digital selection layer to apply a second clear coating composition onto prepared substrate, superimposed on and corresponding to, the second area, and curing the second clear coating to a second gloss level.[French] L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un article décoré amélioré, consistant à : (a) préparer une couche d'image décorative en format numérique consistant à : i. préparer une couche d'image décorative comprenant une première zone d'image définissant une partie de matrice, et au moins une seconde zone d'image, chaque seconde zone d'image définissant un élément décoratif discret, la première zone d'image et chaque seconde zone d'image définissant ensemble une zone d'image finie ; ii. créer une première couche de sélection numérique, et définir une première partie sélectionnée correspondant à la première zone d'image de la couche d'image décorative ; iii. créer au moins une seconde couche de sélection numérique, et définir au moins une seconde partie sélectionnée, chaque seconde partie de sélection correspondant à un élément décoratif discret dans la couche d'image décorative, et correspondant ensemble à la seconde zone de la couche d'image décorative ; la première zone de la première couche numérique et la seconde zone de la seconde couche numérique correspondant ensemble à la zone finie de la couche d'image décorative numérique ; (b) fournir un substrat préparé comprenant au moins une première face principale ; (c) imprimer numériquement la couche d'image décorative sur au moins une partie de la première face principale ; (d) utiliser la première partie sélectionnée de la première couche de sélection numérique (160) pour diriger une application d'une première composition de revêtement transparent sur le substrat préparé, superposée sur la première zone et correspondant à celle-ci, et durcir le premier revêtement transparent à un premier niveau de brillant ; et (e) utiliser chaque seconde partie de l'au moins une seconde couche de sélection numérique pour appliquer une seconde composition de revêtement transparent sur le substrat préparé, superposée sur la seconde zone et correspondant à celle-ci, et durcir le second revêtement transparent à un second niveau de brillant.
