Abstract[English]
The present patent application describes a charger for electric vehicles that features a fault ride through capability, allowing it to use power from the vehicle's battery as a backup power source during low voltage faults of the grid. The charger includes a backup circuit that comprises a first coupling circuit connected to the power path of the electric vehicle battery through the charger, a second coupling circuit connected to the power path of the charger's power supply, and optionally a connection or conditioning circuit to match the voltages of the coupling circuits. The backup circuit enables the control and communication units of the charger to keep operating during low voltage faults of the grid, which can vary in duration from milliseconds to several seconds. The coupling circuits may be placed at various points in the charger's circuitry, such as the input, output, or internal points of the converter or power supply.[French]
La présente invention concerne un chargeur pour véhicules électriques qui dispose d'une capacité de tenue aux creux de tension, ce qui lui permet d'utiliser de l'énergie provenant de la batterie du véhicule en tant que source d'alimentation de secours pendant des défauts de basse tension du réseau électrique.
