Abstract[English] Described herein are 7xxx series aluminum alloys and methods of producing armor components, such as for civil or military vehicles made of high strength 7xxx series aluminum alloys requiring resistance to underbelly threats (e.g., mine blasts applications). The method of producing armor components for civil or military vehicles includes a two-step over-aging process to increase the corrosion resistance of the aluminum alloy while maintaining physical and mechanical properties.[French] L'invention concerne des alliages d'aluminium de la série 7xxx et des procédés de production de composants de blindage, par exemple pour des véhicules civils ou militaires constitués d'alliages d'aluminium de la série 7xxx à haute résistance nécessitant une résistance à des menaces sous-jacentes (par exemple, des applications d'explosions de mines).
