Abstract[English]
Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to energy savings in a wireless communications system. A determination is made to switch off a first serving cell of a first public land mobile network (PLMN), such as based on time of day or load information at the first serving cell. A network entity in the first serving cell transmits, to a UE being served by the first serving cell, an indication that the first serving cell is to be switched off. In response to the indication, the UE selects a second serving cell of a second PLMN, and begins transmitting signals to and receiving signals from the second serving cell rather than the first serving cell. Additionally, after transmitting the indication, the cell transmission and reception at the first serving cell is switched off.[French]
Divers aspects de la présente invention se réfère aux économies d'énergie dans un système de communication sans fil. Il est déterminé si une première cellule de desserte d'un premier réseau de téléphonie mobile terrestre public (PLMN) doit être mise hors circuit, par exemple sur la base du moment de la journée ou d’informations de charge au niveau de la première cellule de desserte. Une entité de réseau dans la première cellule de desserte émet, vers un UE desservi par la première cellule de desserte, une indication selon laquelle la première cellule de desserte doit être mise hors circuit. En réponse à cette indication, l'UE sélectionne une seconde cellule de desserte d'un second réseau PLMN, et commence à émettre et recevoir des signaux vers et en provenance de la seconde cellule de desserte plutôt que la première cellule de desserte. De plus, après l’émission de ladite indication, l’émission-réception au niveau de la première cellule de desserte est désactivée.
