A method including copying a reference sample area of an image frame for an image intra prediction; applying at least one filter to at least partially change the copied reference sample area to form a modified version of the copied reference sample area; and using the modified version of the copied reference sample area for the image intra prediction to form another area of the same image frame.[French]
