Abstract[English] A method for diagnosing a disease, such as breast cancer, in a biological sample using spectroscopic data is described. The method involves a computer-implemented method that converts spectroscopic vibrational from the sample into a profile and scores the profile using a pair of reference profiles. Based on the score and a threshold, it can be determined whether the subject from which the sample was obtained has a disease, and, if so, to what extent. The method also allows detection of early and pre-disease states in subjects based on the detection of the signal of low concentration analytes that are indicative of early or incipient disease states. The method is non-invasive, non-subjective, highly specific, and sensitive. The method affords the application of a single standard of diagnostic accuracy, independent of the availability of expert pathologists.[French] La présente invention concerne une méthode de diagnostic d'une maladie telle que le cancer du sein, dans un échantillon biologique à l'aide de données spectroscopiques. La méthode comprend un procédé mis en œuvre par ordinateur qui convertit une vibration spectroscopique de l'échantillon en un profil et note le profil à l'aide d'une paire de profils de référence. Sur la base du score et d'un seuil, il est possible de déterminer si le sujet sur qui a été prélevé l'échantillon souffre d'une maladie, et, si tel est le cas, la gravité de la maladie.
