Abstract[English]
A method of dissociation of an oligonucleotide in a mass spectrometer includes introducing the oligonucleotides into an electrospray ionization source operated in a negative mode to cause deprotonation of said oligonucleotide for generating a negatively charged ion of said oligonucleotides, trapping said negatively charged oligonucleotide ions in linear radiofrequency (RF) ion traps with T bar electrodes, filling the linear ion trap with a buffer gas, and using a resonant dipole AC excitation signal applied to the T bar electrodes to resonantly excite the negatively charged oligonucleotide ions at secular frequencies thereof to cause selective fragmentation of said negatively charged oligonucleotide ions via collision with molecules of said buffer gas.[French]
La présente invention concerne un procédé de dissociation d'un oligonucléotide dans un spectromètre de masse qui comprend l'introduction des oligonucléotides dans une source d'ionisation par électronébulisation actionnée dans un mode négatif pour provoquer la déprotonation dudit oligonucléotide afin de générer un ion chargé négativement desdits oligonucléotides, le piégeage desdits ions oligonucléotidiques chargés négativement dans des pièges à ions radiofréquence (RF) linéaires avec des électrodes à barres, le remplissage du piège à ions linéaire avec un gaz tampon et l'utilisation d'un signal d'excitation CA dipôle résonant appliqué aux électrodes à barres pour exciter par résonance les ions oligonucléotidiques chargés négativement à des fréquences séculaires de ceux-ci pour provoquer une fragmentation sélective desdits ions oligonucléotidiques chargés négativement par collision avec des molécules dudit gaz tampon.
