Embodiments of the invention provide efficient and intuitive techniques for creating digital characters. One embodiment of the invention provides a method of customizing a digital avatar. A digital avatar may be displayed on a display of an electronic device. An audio- visual user interface may be provided for customizing the digital avatar based on a spoken conversation between a user and the digital avatar.[French]
