Abstract[English]
The method and system disclosed herein presents a method and system for capturing, by a depth-perception device on a mobile robot moving in an environment, depth-perception information at a first location within a portion of the environment. The method includes capturing, by a camera device on the mobile robot, an image frame at the first location within the portion of the environment, generating a three-dimensional point cloud representing the portion of the environment based on the depth-perception information and the image frame, extracting semantic information by providing the frame and the point cloud to a neural network model configured to perform semantic segmentation, associating the semantic information to the three-dimensional point cloud, projecting the three-dimensional point cloud onto a two-dimensional plane to form a first two-dimensional map; and demarcating the first two-dimensional map with a plurality of different regions based on the semantic information.[French]
Le procédé et le système divulgués aux présentes se rapportent à un procédé et un système de capture, par un dispositif de perception de profondeur sur un robot mobile se déplaçant dans un environnement, d'informations de perception de profondeur à un premier emplacement à l'intérieur d'une portion de l'environnement. Le procédé consiste à capturer, par un dispositif de caméra sur le robot mobile, une trame d'image au premier emplacement à l'intérieur de la portion de l'environnement, générer un nuage de points tridimensionnel représentant la portion de l'environnement sur la base des informations de perception de profondeur et de la trame d'image, extraire des informations sémantiques en fournissant la trame et le nuage de points à un modèle de réseau neuronal configuré pour effectuer une segmentation sémantique, associer les informations sémantiques au nuage de points tridimensionnel, projeter le nuage de points tridimensionnel sur un plan bidimensionnel pour former une première carte bidimensionnelle ; et délimiter la première carte bidimensionnelle avec une pluralité de régions différentes sur la base des informations sémantiques.
