Abstract[English] Ion optical elements in accordance with various aspects of the present teachings can, in various embodiments, be utilized to replace conventional stacked-ring ion optical elements (e.g., ion guides, ion tunnels, ion funnels, reflectrons), which typically contain a plurality of individual conductor rings and insulating spacers that must be manufactured with exacting tolerances and precisely aligned during assembly.
