Abstract[English]
Described is a method for controlling motion of a digital character, comprising: receiving one or more behaviour commands; translating the one or more behaviour commands into a time-sequence of channel parameters for one or more animation channels; receiving one or more motion sources; determining one or more motion parameters by applying the channel parameters to corresponding blend nodes in a blend tree based on the motion sources; and controlling motion of the digital character based on the one or more motion parameters. Also described is a system implementing the method.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de commande du mouvement d'un personnage numérique, comprenant les étapes consistant à : recevoir une ou plusieurs commandes de comportement ; traduire la ou les commandes de comportement en une séquence temporelle de paramètres de canal pour un ou plusieurs canaux d'animation ; recevoir une ou plusieurs sources de mouvement ; déterminer un ou plusieurs paramètres de mouvement par application des paramètres de canal à des noeuds de mélange correspondants dans un arbre de mélange sur la base des sources de mouvement ; et commander le mouvement du personnage numérique sur la base du ou des paramètres de mouvement.
