Abstract[English]
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product are provided. An example method includes generating an extension to a volumetric video coding structure, wherein the extension to the volumetric coding structure enables at least one of the following: storage of information corresponding to an algorithm for compression of a mesh; prediction of single vertex values between mesh frames; generation of a volumetric video coding bitstream consisting of attribute video components that is mapped to the mesh; or conversion of a first file format to a second file format; and storing a vertex of the mesh by using the extension.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé, un appareil et un produit programme informatique. Un procédé donné à titre d'exemple consiste à générer une extension à une structure de codage vidéo volumétrique, l'extension de la structure de codage volumétrique permettant au moins l'un des éléments suivants : le stockage d'informations correspondant à un algorithme pour la compression d'un maillage ; la prédiction de valeurs de sommet unique entre des trames maillées ; la génération d'un flux binaire de codage vidéo volumétrique constitué de composants vidéo d'attribut qui sont mappés sur le maillage ; ou la conversion d'un premier format de fichier en un deuxième format de fichier ; et à stocker un sommet du maillage à l'aide de l'extension.
